About
I have worked as a photo-journalist and documentary photographer since 2003. My main area of interest has always been focused around socio-political issues, both overseas in challenging contexts as well as in London where I am based. My work has aimed to portray a diverse range of issues and subjects from riots in London to illegal oil exploration in Nigeria.
I have worked alongside journalists as well as autonomously creating features stories and news images. My high motivation brought me to travel extensively on my own: own budget, no second party, financial or logistic back up nor help to sell stories to magazines and newspaper and I always managed to achieve the goals I have established as a freelance photo-reporter.
My work is always based on thorough research the establishment of a network of contacts knowledge of the subject and empathy: all fundamental to create a strong and meaningful visual story along with the ability to be creative and improvise when situations require. I am willing to work in challenging contexts and am always careful to ensure the safety of myself and those I am working with or portraying, and follow a strict ethical code of conduct.
